Mission Engagement
2017 Christmas Mission Offering
Through the mission offering we support over 4000 missionaries through the International Mission Board, the CBF offering for global missions, and the mission initiatives of the Baptist General Association of Virginia. Your giving will be distributed among the three entities, or you can designate to one of them. Let’s “excel in generosity” and make our mission contribution our largest Christmas gift. You can use the special envelope, designate on your check or use our online giving through our website.

Here are the results over 30 years:
-Repaired & helped build 139 homes.

2017 Operation Christmas Child Report
A total of 110 filled shoeboxes were delivered to the drop off station at Open Door Baptist Church last week. We ask now that you be in prayer for the children who will receive one of the over ten million boxes that Samaritan’s Purse will give out world wide with the message of salvation. A daily prayer guide bookmark can be found in many locations at the church to help keep them in your prayers.
A special thanks to the Child Development Center for their great effort and promotion. Thanks also to the Pioneer Sunday School class for once again wrapping boxes for participants to use.
Remember that after Christmas sales are a great time to get small toys at great reductions. Start planning now for 2018. William E. Thomas, OCC Coordinator

Shopping Ministry Through a generous donation we purchase canned goods to support the work of the Culpeper Senior Center. We need shoppers who can go once a month to buy and deliver to the Senior Center. GREAT project for a class or a family. We will rotate this around so you would only need to do it once every 5-7 months. Contact Hans to help.
